4. Retention periods
We retain client files for a minimum of ten years after the end of the engagement, as required by Czech bar regulations (Act No. 85/1996 Coll., on the Legal Profession). Other data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with:
- Courts, notaries, public authorities, and counterparties, where necessary for your case;
- Trusted processors (e.g. IT hosting providers) under appropriate data processing agreements;
- Professional advisers (auditors, accountants) under legal confidentiality obligations.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data;
- Rectify inaccurate data;
- Erase data (subject to legal retention obligations);
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- Data portability where processing is based on consent or contract;
